With a lifelong passion for the outdoors, we bring over 25 years of forestry and environmental education and consulting experience to our Clients. Co-owner Jasen Golding holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Forestry & Environmental Management, Masters of Forest Engineering, and is a Registered Professional Forester. Dedicated to providing ethical, science-based guidance for landowners and organizations across Atlantic Canada, Jasen stives to provide a professional, practical sustainable approach to our Clients.

Jasen is a professor in Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management specializing in Silviculture, Forest Operations, Woodlot Management and Management Practicum

His consulting work spans a wide range of forestry and environmental services — from woodlot management and stewardship plans, prescription development, forest reforestation, pest and insect risk assessments, and land valuation, to block reconnaissance, layout, boundary line assessment, and urban forest inventory. He is a Certified Wetland Delineator and holds Watercourse & Wetland Alteration Certification, offering clients expertise in restoration, stabilization planning, and species-at-risk assessment.

The nursery is a natural extension of his academic and professional background. After years working in reforestation planning, it became increasingly difficult to source local, native planting stock for restoration and woodlot regeneration. Launching a nursery became the next logical step — an opportunity to grow the species our landscapes need most and to provide high-quality seedlings for projects of any scale. Today, our small native-focused nursery specializes in Atlantic Canada hardwoods, offering seedlings along with one- and two-year-old stock. While meeting Client needs, we take pride in supporting every project with knowledge, care, and a genuine commitment to forest health
